WEEK 1 - Descend into the Ordeal

7.1.0

Introduction to The Ordeal

A cinematic mile marker marks the hinge of the journey: the descent where masks fail, illusion dies, and transformation becomes possible. Chapters 7 and 8 are framed as one ordeal—Shadow and Dragon.

7.1.1

The War for Everything

The inner life is placed inside a larger contest between light and darkness, making self-knowledge a matter of spiritual responsibility. You receive the context and courage needed to confront and integrate what has been hidden.

7.1.2

The Shadow

The shadow contains traits, emotions, and impulses rejected because they conflicted with an acceptable self-image, yet these buried parts still act. You trace how these buried parts were formed, name leaks and masks, journal honestly, pray for illumination, and share one discovery with a trusted brother.

WEEK 2 - Lead the Parts at War

7.2.1

Parts at War: Sub-Personalities and the Shadow

Disproportionate reactions often reveal younger protective parts taking control before the mature self can respond. You identify these sub-personalities, understand what they are protecting, and begin leading them toward a better role.

WEEK 3 - Reclaim the Golden Shadow

7.3.1

The Golden Shadow

The shadow can hide not only shameful impulses but also disowned strength, leadership, talent, and glory. You stop confusing smallness with humility and take a concrete step toward the gift or responsibility you have avoided.

WEEK 4 - Integrate the Whole Man

7.4.1

Wholeness on Purpose: Integration and Inner Alignment

Wholeness is not the absence of inner complexity but the stewardship of every part under a higher center. You bring heart, soul, mind, and strength into alignment so reclaimed energy can serve God, mission, and the people around you.
